The Philly schools finally decided to shutter for 2 weeks after struggling with staffing issues due to restrictions imposed on neighboring Montgomery County by Governor Wolf. Many of Philly’s school employees live in Montgomery Co., 63 schools in the School District of Philadelphia (nearly 1/3 of the total number) did not have enough staff to open. By this afternoon, the District had decided to close all of its schools for two weeks. Shortly afterwards, Governor Wolf ordered all PA schools closed for 10 business days (2 weeks).
